About Adair Lawn Care

My name is Donald Adair, and I started Adair Lawn Care with a simple goal—to help people have a clean, healthy yard they can be proud of and enjoy.


I’ve always had a heart for the DIY homeowner who just wants their yard to look great without having to figure everything out the hard way. My journey into lawn care really began in 2012 after I got married and moved into a home with freshly laid sod. I wanted to take care of it the right way, so I started identifying every weed I came across and researching how to treat it properly. 


Over time, that turned into a fertilization and weed control program of my own, and before long, my yard was holding its own against neighbors who were using professional lawn services.

Why I Started This Business

Before lawn care, I built my career in public service. I studied Criminal Justice and worked for the Autauga County Sheriff’s Department under Sheriff Herbie Johnson at the Metro Jail. I spent five years there and was promoted to Sergeant.


As time went on, I realized the direction of that career path was changing in a way that didn’t align with what I had hoped for long-term. At the same time, I had been consistently maintaining my own yard and seeing results that matched—or exceeded—what professional companies were producing.


That’s when it clicked for me. I could take what I had learned and turn it into a business that allowed me to continue serving people—just in a different way.


I started Adair Lawn Care in April of 2017, and by July of that year, I made the decision to go all in. I began with routine lawn maintenance, and by March of 2019, I became certified and expanded into professional lawn treatments.


What Matters to Me

I truly enjoy serving others, and I value every single client who trusts me with their property. I don’t take that lightly. These are the people who allow me to do what I love and provide for my family, and I make sure that shows in the work I do.


I’m passionate about creating a yard and outdoor space that you actually enjoy spending time in. Whether it’s fertilization and weed control, exterior pest control, or mosquito control, everything we do is built around helping you get the most out of your home.

Licensed, Certified, and Always Learning

We are fully licensed through the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, including Household Pest Control, OTPS, Public Health, and General Standards.


I also make it a priority to stay up to date in this industry. I’m constantly learning through continuing education, online communities, podcasts, publications, and research. The more I learn, the better I can serve my customers.
